My son and future daughter-in-law are getting married here tomorrow and today was rehearsal day. I was told this this place is finally constructed after almost a year and I must say, this is an excellent Botanical Garden here at the Louisville waterfront. I highly recommend those who love flowers to come visit here, you will not be disappointed. Thus far, we are enjoying our vacation here from mountains of Colorado.

Such a beautiful setting and the wedding was spectacular..... They worked with the bride and groom during this difficult time in our history and had a magnificent ceremony and reception. Absolutely I would recommend this to anyone looking for a venue

I love this place! The first phase just opened in October 2019. The Beargrass Creek Pathway just opened and future phases will continue to be built out over the years. It’s going to be great to see this garden develop and GROW. So thankful to finally have a botanical garden in Louisville. Looking forward to when the conservatory open someday. The site and the organization that developed this garden have a pretty cool history. This 23-acre garden is built on a landfill. What a great way to reclaim the land! Also, Waterfront Botanical Gardens is a non-profit so consider making a donation to enable the continued growth of the garden!

Very neatly kept, great for a day out to enjoy the good weather. Masks are required to walk around. There are paths at the end of the gardens that lead to Beargrass Creek and will eventually take you to the Ohio River, highly recommend the roughly 3/4 mile walk. Stroller can be used, although paths aren’t extremely wide. Volunteers at the Gardens were very informative. Plenty of parking. Public restrooms and water fountains are available.

It’s still in the early stages (trees and plants need to grow in, only partially built) but so far so good. The only negative is that it’s right next to the highway making it a bit noisy. other than that i really like it. I can’t wait to see it completed. It will be something to enjoy for generations to come.
