Campfire Lodgings

Our new favorite spot. The staff that we had the pleasure of dealing with (Jason and Marissa) truly make this a special place. We had tried for a couple years to book a spot here and finally got a site in January. We stayed in a premium site which was amazing waking up to the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It snowed the night before our check out day and Jason had the road ready for campers to leave way before checkout time. The road to the campground is not bad at all. If you are not use to driving mountain roads you may get a little nervous but is definitely nothing to fret about. You will not be disappointed you booked this place. We will be returning as soon as we can.

This was a great RV Resort. This was our first RV trip and everything worked out perfect. The drive up the mountain was easy and not close to as bad as some folks made it to be. We were greeted by Jason who does an unbelievable job making you feel welcome. The bath houses were clean and well maintained. The views are amazing and the RV parking is very easy to get into. Great hiking trails that all bring you back to the Camp grounds. We had a huge surprise with Snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. We will definitely return in the future and highly recommend Campfire lodge!!

great place, awesome view, steep and tight road going up to it, but worth it. Hosts are nice people, very helpful. Wife and I and our two great Danes had a plast, great trails to walk.

Great campground! Jason took such good care of us while we were there. Bath house was very clean, grounds well kept, the most gorgeous views and wonderful location. Perfect getaway for my husband and I.

Wow! The view! Did I mention the view?Also...Jason was a super camp host. He kept the grounds super clean and all campers informed of goings on at the campground (wind conditions = fire bans) as well as the need to completely detach your water hose from the spigot if temps near freezing. We are seasoned winter campers as that is when we prefer to camp so we were taken aback a bit when told we needed to disconnect completely though we have a heated hose. Once Jason explained the way the water system works on rhe mountain it made complete sense. Plus it only takes a couple of minutes to unhook and then rehook the next morning. Needless to say we absolutely loved our stay at this campground and look forward to making this an anniversary tradition. Our kids live in Asheville so the campground was super convenient. As we were leaving my husband said he wanted to stop and tell Jason bye as we felt him to be part of the family. There was no room to stop to go into the office but Jason met us as we pulled around to wish us safe travels. What a great ambassador for this beautiful campground.
