Love Speedway hope they stay the same since 7-Eleven bought them out hope they don't change

Store staff can be inconsiderate and unhelpful, especially Micheal, the awkward white guy with long hair. The air pump outside for tires has been broken for over a year. They are frequently out of stock of basic popular items. The gas pumps have a 50/50 shot of not printing your receipt. No parking. No room to navigate the pump space. And it smells.

I live off Taylorsville Rd just a few blocks South of the store. So for quite a while I was there frequently. The employee turnover has gotten worse and worse, even for a 24 hour gas station. In general the employees aren't bad. They are overwhelmed and undertrained. Store shift management seems about the same. They start out with a lot of energy and you can see them hit the wall. So I think it's the owner of this franchise. The store needs repairs, remodeling, the things that every other Speedway in the city already have. They need a larger space for the concession food. The air conditioning fails frequently. Something is always broken. Something is always out of stock. These are not things that the poor employees dealing with the impatient customers can fix. So I go to the store on Breckenridge Ln. most of the time. I can't vouch for the restroom. All I know is that it's still an outside entrance one that requires a key. Based on the state of the store I'm surmising that it's disgusting. But it's not the employees generally making it a bad store. It's whoever is the actual decision maker. They're terrible. I hope they read this because I believe that they also 'run' the Speedway on Grinstead and Bardstown.

The staff here is always very nice and friendly. The store itself could be a bit cleaner, but I think a bit part of it is the age of the building a decide more than cleanliness. The pumps are old but still get gas where it is supposed to go. The drinks are cold, the snacks are typically fresh and the coffee is hot, I think this what we are really here for.
