The ladies at the entrance are super sweet. They will answer any question you have and never seem to be annoyed. My problem is the fact that they allow people to live in the first come first serve spots. Supposedly there is a 14 day limit at the waterfront spots but there are people living in those spots. They also allow people to save/reserve spots with tents even though no one is staying there. The photo attached shows a spot saved for a week with no one staying there. There was only a canopy but when confronted by the office about a canopy only being there and tent popped up. We tried the reserved spots but seems like they are reserved for special people. Drove through them multiple days and spots were always open but we couldn’t reserve them. This is a state maintained and funded park and its needs to be managed properly with an online reservation site like Paul b Johnson.

Tent Camper Review. This park is naturally beautiful with plenty of space and lots of nature activities. However, when we were there, the facilities were mostly broken and in disrepair. The bath houses on the Seneca loop - toilets worked but were needing repairs and none of the showers worked (missing knobs and shower heads). The bath houses on the Mohawk loop were better and we drove over there to shower. I feel I should mention that this is a only about three weeks after the weeklong snow and ice storm.nThe Mohawk is first come first serve , no reservations. I think this is the preferred tent sites with lots of flat space for tents and plenty of space between sites. There were several sites claimed by long term RVs but not many.nThe Seneca loop is a reservation loop by phone call. The sites are closer together and not everyone has sewer hook ups. We found a spacious site unclaimed for the weekend and near a bath house with working toilets and near beach (closed for winter). Next time we will look on Mohawk first.nThe primitive camping area was available and had plenty of space and access to a few water spouts and portable potty houses.nThe park in general is great for biking and fishing and nature hiking during the off season. The beautiful inner peninsula of the lake is accessible by trail and boat only. About a two mile hiking or mountain biking loop. The summer season will hopefully be better, we will try again.

Stayed in seneca loop. Nice spaious sites. But the bath house was disgusting. It is a shame they don't clean them or maintain at all. Showers did not work. Water and trash all over the floor, stinky. They are building new sites, but not putting money into the bathrooms. We will not come back unless bathrooms are updated.

We love it at flint creek but they need to do do a few up grades on their cabins and canphouses

We've always stayed in the A-Frames; right on the lake, fireplace, full kitchen and plenty of beds. Outdoor grill and visits with the swans every morning. Gorgeous place for long walks in nature.
