Right up there with skiing Park City and attending Sundance, diving Seabase is simply one of the most fun things there is to do in Utah. I'm fairly certain there's nowhere like it in the world. A hot spring filled with sharks, a shipwreck, and tons of marine life, a thousand miles from the ocean... I might be biased because it's where I got certified when I was a kid and I grew up diving there, but I think that's pretty amazing. Some of the reviews I've seen online complained about the visibility not being like it is in the ocean, which I thought was just ridiculous lol. You're in the middle of freaking desert, dude! If you want to go dive in the ocean, go dive in the ocean. And that being said, I've gone on hundreds of dives all over the world and Seabase will always hold a special place in my heart with its shark-filled oasis in the middle of nowhere out in the Utah desert. It's very likely the most unique place I've dove, and that's quite the achievement for them. Also, if you're visiting from out of town, I'd recommend staying in Wendover, there's not a lot to do in Salt Lake City.
