My wife and two of my kids actually drove all the way from Florence to check out the Flowood Nature Park on a Sunday afternoon. It was lovely...like a little Sanctuary in the middle of a sprawling metropolis. Reminded me a little -- A LITTLE -- of St. James park from our trip to the UK last year. Seriously, it's a very nice park and apparently very conducive to dogs (we have four but didn't bring any). Highly recommended.
Just a beautiful Park in general! I often come here to run a mile or two through the woods and around the lake.
Omg I love this place, I went for a walk and took some pictures, the other ppl that were around here and there were soo friendly. If there is ever a great place to go for a walk with a great view this is it.
Wonderful paved trails nestled in the city but feels isolated. Very safe. Dog and kid friendly.
I've walked in the Flowood Nature Park multiple times, and it is very nice. The trails are clear of brush and the shade provided by the trees make for a pleasant walk/run. Recently, I talked on the phone about reserving a pavilion, and though I did not follow through with it, the receptionist was extremely helpful and patient. I recommend visiting this place if you can, especially now where too many of us are cooped up at home!
