Tombigbee Lake State Park

A nice quiet park in the northern woods of Mississippi. It has a very nice playground, hiking trail and beautiful lake! We have been to other state parks where canoe rentals are available. That would be a great addition to this park that everyone would enjoy!

Loved the quiet, peacefulness of the cabin. We kids had a great big playground to play on. Very family friendly

Nice. Cozy. Chilly that weekend. Nice heating system. Had a mini kitchen with stove , microwave, coffee pot, & full fridge, flat screen TV, ONE bedroom, walk through, double door shower restroom, great room with couch, table and chairs, an enclosed screen back porch with a swing and an out door grilling and fire pit area. Oh, yes, we had a fireplace. No we did not use it. Our cabin was located on the lake, on a peninsula. Great view. Virgin sky. Beautiful constellations. No light pollution. The clouds illuminated the sky with and w/o the nearly half full waning moon.nnFelt safe. YET ITS SMOKE DETECTOR NEEDS REPLACING! WAS MISSING. DETACHED! A carbon monoxide detector would be nice, also. Along with perhaps a weather radio/alert system. We were close to other cabins but not too close. Trees, terrain , and water separated us.nnBE WARNED: parking was scary. Not a lot of room to maneuver. Not much room for error. I, paranoid me, feltl like we could have easily backed over a cliff and plunged into the lake. I was so ready to take my seat belt off & open my passenger side car door and power down tge window, just in case. PERHAPS more concrete blocks should be placed in the parkingnarea.nnRelatively clean cabin. Some dusting was needed for spider & dust webs. Especially in corners of the ceilings and behind furniture like the bed, couch, and table and chairs. I think at least 7 cabins/cottages exist along with campsites for motor homes or tents. There are playgrounds and a restroom and a lodge. There are plenty of places to fish at the manmade reservoir dam controlled lake. There are kots of nearby restaurants and places of interest. Tupelo, MS, is nearby and interesting.nnThe park ranger was fantastic!

Its a great place for the family to have fun. Lots of things you can do there. Fishing, disc golf, walking and mountain bike trails, baseball and volley ball. It has cabins, primitive and RV camp sites.
