Beware and research diligently before renting from Heege Place. The staff is very unprofessional. Every other month the Land Lord Pat comes up with ridiculous ways to charge tenants extra money. The units are old and dated! The corridors are disgusting. There is no privacy. You can hear your next door neighbor whisper. This is how thin the walls are. There are far better places in South County to rent from. Don’t take the bait. And it is also true that they do background checks on case.net and charge you for it as this is a free service. Beware!
We were looking for an apartment - and the staff told us that there was a 1st floor available - So we applied for the apt - it took Monica 1 week to respond - they never return phone calls - very unprofessional - then they say they DO a check on you but NO they keep the 30.00 for each application and go to CASE.NET and run your history there - (ITS FREE) - and what was upsetting they said since my husband is military we get 5% off and don't worry about the water charge - that was a LIE - they wanted to charge the full amount and make $, I am glad we didn't take the apt because South County is full of nice apts - the one we are in now it only 200.00 deposit and gave us 100.00 of rent for 3 months - also they at Heege said the deposit is 500 then they raise it to 600 - DO NOT DO IT - THEY LIE!!!!!

Management's not nice at all and not helpful
Horrible spts. Talk to police since they are there quite often. Also history of bed bugs and roaches. Landlord told one renter he had spy in every unit to watch for drugs even the old people. KGB has been the word used often. Dies not do timely repairs. And very loud.
