Always nice to come down to piny point

Cool fort, short visit. You can go inside the buildings, which are meant to be historically accurate. There is 30 minute parking at the street entrance.

This was very interesting to discover this part of civil war history, but it was also very sad to learn how these prisoners were kept in such inhumane conditions. Such an untold part of Maryland's history. Definitely worth the time to explore but take lots & lots of bug spray. The mosquitos will eat you alive!!

Nice place to visit

Beautifully-kept Civil War era constructed fort. Very moody feeling place and in the stillness, the waves against the riprap tricks the ear into hearing the distant sound of drums and canon fire.
