Congregation Sha'are Shalom

Was asked to assist with making preparations for an event the next day. Very nice facility for a variety of occassions.

I have enjoyed the Passover Seder with the member's of this Temple at Sha'are Shalom last year & I am looking forward to this year on the 20th. The place was full & the meal was extraordinary. Many volunteers. The worship & praise heals the heart. The 5 glasses of wine, prayers & music played with the Guitar by one of the member's was absolutely beautiful. The games for the children allowed them to take off running. It's a wonderful way to say Thank You to Hashem for our redemption and to Yeshua, for He is our Salvation.

CSS is a friendly, welcoming place. There are enough members so there's a full slate of activities (services, holidays, enrichment) but not so many that you feel lost in the crowd. Religious School is the crown jewel. With no paid teaching staff, the parents are the teachers. Kids learn their prayers and gain confidence leading small activities from an early age. By their b'nai mitzvahs, they are confident and well prepared, without parents having to resort to hiring outside tutors. I highly recommend CSS to Jews in Southern PG county and all of southern MD (Charles, Calvert, St. Marys).
