Leesylvania State Park

Great park only around 20 minutes or so from where I live. If you take the Route 1 way it can be a lot of traffic going there. The park isn't on Route 1 its down another road. Beautiful views of the river and I saw a guy catching fish on the pier! It would be nice to come see the sun rise here! I would come back for sure!

We're never disappointed. Great place for the family! Something for everyone. Make a day of it...hike, hang out and picnic, enjoy the water and small sand beach, play on the playground, and much more. Lots to explore!

Gorgeous state park overlooking the Potomac River. Plenty of green space for picnic, hiking, field sport. Boat launch area, kayak, water ski. This place is amazing. Visit soon!

Nice place to take a Morning walk or Picnic or I guess do fishing if you have a boat n license.Pl do not Swim here its not for swimming people Die here while attempting to Swim.

Great little state parks with some nice trails. Wonderful river access as well if you are a boater. We loved the Lee Woods Trail, Bushey Point Trail, and Powell Nature trail. The park has a small campground as well, sites were close together but in a nice shady wooded portion of the park. Trails have lots of cool signage and are very well maintained -- none are very difficult though Powell and Lee Woods have some uphills. Ample parking and lots of picnicking areas as well. Just a gorgeous spot along the potomac.
