Patuxent Camp Sites

Its very unfortunate this campground went downhill as badly as it has. No maintenance is done, the camp is run down and the roads are filled with deep potholes so be sure you have a 4 wheel drive or you may have major suspension issues. They only accept cash or money orders written out to the current manager since their bank accounts have been frozen. Maybe because they have been operating illegally (no license) or because the owner has repeatedly written checks to purchase drugs. The owner has a bad pill problem, so it seems as if management doesn't want her to get ahold of any money (or maybe they are just stealing it). Thankfully they don't accept Credit Cards since their Assistant Manager has a long, long list of criminal charges with her numerous last names (theft, bad checks, stealing and using peoples credit cards, theft schemes, evictions and many monetary judgements against her). Wont be surprised when the campground is seized for non payment of property taxes, non payment of business income taxes, or for trying to skirt by the capital gains tax the owner owes for inheriting the property and leaving it in her deceased mother and grandmothers name. Run, don't walk away from this disaster of a place.

Friendly staff. Feel safe and welcome here. Close on the Patuxent river. Good fishing and crabbing.nLots to do for families and senior campers. Very affordable with full service electric, fresh water hook ups, waste dumps and trash drop offs. Bath house is clean and maintained daily. Showers are included.nClean sites with ample space for large RVs. 50 amp service on some sites.

Quaint little campground! Very clean and the people are friendly.nBeautiful views of the Patuxent River. Overnight/ Monthly or Seasonal.

I love this place. Can't get enough of the river!

The camp site was great. It was relaxing watching the boats, jet racing, fishing and the various boats docking. There was much food and plenty of crabs to be consumed. Simply, loved. Thanks to for cousin that invited the family and his friends down to his camp site. Thanks Ronald enjoyed it.
