I had been at this campground before and had not been back in several years due to rude staff. The park was not taken care of. It looked like a junk yard at some of the sites. I pulled into the parking lot not expecting a lot. I was pleasantly surprised when Teri said hello can I help you. The entire staff was very pleasant to deal with. They appear to be happy to be working there. I will definitely come back again!

My friend handled registration and arrival so I never had to interact with the manager but have significant concerns about her reported inability to treat guests respectfully (thus the 3 star rating). What I can say is I stayed in October so can't speak for the high season but the feel was low key rather than intense or noisy. Mature trees throughout and among sites so it feels less like being parked in an RV storage lot the way some RV camps can be (sites are still close as typical of RV camps but arranged well). Bathrooms were clean, showers were nice, nice to stroll down to the Marina on the creek and fairly close to Colonial Beach which had a nice town center with their beachfront, restaurants, shops, etc.

We were there last week with a group of five other RV's, we also brought our motorcycle's, Linda and the staff were friendly and very accommodating to our needs. The campground was relaxing and a great time was had! I've recommended this campground to my daughter and her family for a short weekend getaway. 90 minutes away.

Beautiful campground next to a lake and Mattox creek. Staff is very friendly and professional . Park and the facilities including the pool and bathrooms are well kept and maintained. The sites are sufficiently big with a fire pit . The pool is quite big and the kiddie pool is amazing for babies and toddlers. The park has a storage yard as well for rvs . Grocery stores are no more than 10-15 minutes away and colonial beach close by as well . I highly recommend this park especially after having experienced other parks across the country .

Worst campground. Manager was rude. Put us on a small site that was flooded. Couldn't sit outside at all. Asked about a different site and was told there aren't any to fit our 38 ft Motorhome. We were scheduled to stay a week. Watched other large rigs pull in for 1 or 2 nights and got better sites. We had a package forwarded with medication as we are full time RVERS. She sent the package back and told us they don't accept packages. We left and went to the KOA down the street. Much better.
