Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We had the pleasure of having Kat as our tour guide and she shared so much of the history of the plantation and knowledge of the sugar cane farming. We spent 2 hours here but wished we could stay longer if it hadn't been for a prior engagement. We will definitely be returning

This place is definitely a hidden gem. My wife and I had the honor to visit St. Joseph's Plantation home on Sun, Nov 15th 2020 for an 11am tour. We met Mrs. Kathy, our guide, who is also a 7th Generation Owner through family of the home. She made us feel welcomed and right at home from beginning to end. We really enjoyed ourselves that day and learned so much about the home and even its sister home the Felicity, and various movies and tv that have used these locations to film. We are so grateful to have met Mrs. Kathy, Chuckie the baby doll on the tricycle, which old dolls creep me out anyway, and the Mourning Room.

The house is beautiful and the guides are knowledgeable and interesting. They answer questions and if they don't know an answer, they will try to find out. It is not extremely crowded and the tours are not rushed. The gift shop is very nice. . The grounds are well kept.nMany family members work there.

Wonder place to visit. Favorite plantation that we visited. Loved that we could take pictures inside. Love the history and the fact that family still live on the groundsud83dude03
