Brain's Supermarket is conveniently located in Marpaus, Louisiana. It is the only grocery store in the area. With that being said, like most small grocery stores, the prices are inflated. The store always has ample employees to help find items and to have you checked out in a timely manner. The store is always clean. They also have a bakery to buy fresh bread, cakes, cookies etc. They have a deli and cook hot food daily.
I have purchased many items from this store that have been bad. The deli meat selection is disgusting. I have purchased several different deli meats, and they all are either slimy when I get them home or go bad within 2 to 3 days. I tried purchasing the French Settlement sausage as well. When I got it home, the date was expired. It was all so slimy and unusable. The fruit selection is horrible as well. Also, just purchased Dave's Killer Bread the white bread done right, and I brought it home and it had mold on it. This is absolutely ridiculous. I have called several times to complain, and nothing has been done. I will now find another store to shop at.

Brian's is a great little store in Maurepas, right by the river, and nice option to having to run into Gonzales to shop. Clean, well stocked and organized with a very good overall selection of groceries and supplies. A little on the pricey side but the convenience makes up for it! ud83cudf1f
