I found this place and thought it may be a hidden gem, but after ordering the cup of gumbo to go I ended up waiting 50 minutes before I finally got my food. Once I got home the gumbo was cold. The staff repeatedly checked on every other person waiting and laughed and talked with them, but never once let me know if my order would be ready. People ordered full entrees and sides off the menu and received their order within minutes, but for some reason my cup of gumbo(which I'm sure is made ahead of lunchtime) took 50 minutes. I didn't get a sorry for the wait. She just handed me my food and went back inside. Loud rap music blaring like there was a concert going on inside. Not family friendly. I could've went to Mike Anderson's on HWY 30 and got a cup of gumbo quicker and it would've tasted better. Service is key to staying in business and Sweet and Savory does NOT have the key.

The food is absolutely amazing and extremely flavorful!! The owners are very sweet and accommodating, as well as the staff. If you are looking for authentic Cajun/Creole styled comfort food, Sweet & Savory is your place.

Horrible service. If you order a hamburger it will take an hour and 15 minutes for them to give it to you to go. The lady taking orders was very rude and kept telling me over and over that my order was almost done, but yet it took an hour and 15 minutes to finally get my order. They had loud music inside and you can hear all the staff playing around with each other instead of actually taking their business serious and getting your food that you paid for to you. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Went to get lunch at 12. The sign said knock and someone will be with you. I knocked and waiting fifteen minutes no one ever came outside. I could hear music so loud I guess whoever was inside probably couldn't hear me knocking on the door. Oh well, guess y'all didn't want my business. Went to Mike's Poboys for lunch instead and got service instantly.
