Elijah Clark State Park is the 3 state park I've stayed at in the Lake Thurmond area and I have to say they all have beautiful views of the water. There are a few good miles worth of hiking that any adventurer can tackle. Unfortunately, the weather was against us this trip. The wind was a major issue for us tent campers but we made the most of it. We were at site #28 which has a nice pull through driveway. Our last night, the wind finally died down so we were able to enjoy a nice fire and the star filled skies. The bathroom/shower facilities were well maintained and stocked. Thank you for a great stay! My only gripe would be that some of the sites were way too close to each other. I'm glad we got site #28...there was a good deal of space to maneuver around.

So pretty! A couple water spigots at the walk-in camp sites need rebuilt (leaking pretty bad) some of the tent pads are eroding away need some more dirt/sand to level them out. Our small tent barely fit. Great place for hammocks. Hiking trails are nice but need some upkeep, trees down in the path, trail markers need freshened. Mini golf looked fun, but also needing a power washing to clear out all the pollen. The homestead cabins were very neat, didn't get to go inside wasn't sure when the guide provided a tour, but you can still look through the windows. Beautiful place to see stars, wish the street lights could be turned off for that purpose.

Beatiful park. Not for big adventure hikes but great for a lazy family day. The hike is easy and wraps around the lake, perfect for small attention spans. Multiple playgrounds and lots of places to skip rocks.

Great park. Not overcrowded like most of the other state parks. All the campsites are right on or with a great view of the lake.

Lovely park with some nice trails and a beautiful beach. Places to kayak and boat from also. Wonderful docks for fishing too.
