Amity Recreation Area

Very nice parking with a walking bridge over water from boat ramps to save time. Very clean and safe.....

Convenient to the lake for access. Staff is friendly.

Great boat ramp, the dock is a little bit away from the ramp. The facilities are very clean and plenty of room to park.

Nice and clean

Amity Recreation Area is another part of Lake Thurmond, and it is as beautiful as the rest of this massive lake and Dam. It offers a secure but open environment that welcomes everyone visiting the park. It has beaches, boat ramps, camp grounds, walking trails, and picnic areas strategically placed for privacy, intimacy, tranquility and offers multiple views of the lake and all water activities. There are bathrooms easily identified and also placed all over the park. The bathrooms are maintained by the park and open until park closing times which varies based on the day of the week. Visiting Amity was worth it and we will visit it again and explore some more.
