Jefferson's Hiram, GA

My wife and I found ourselves in Hiram last night and were trying to decide what to get. We drove by Jeff's and decided to turn around go in because it's a usually consistent and reliable meal that we both like. HOWEVER......naw...just kidding. It was great as usual. Our server, Jennifer, kept up with our drinks which is no small feat considering I usually go through quite a bit of tea when I'm eating wings. She rocked and hit it off with my wife - getting into a lively discussion - about ink pens. Yep, you read that right. Ink Pens. My wife is weird...I'm aware of this and have accepted that many years ago. Anyway - yeah, the food was out pretty quick and was as consistent as ever. I love Jeff's for providing a meal that I can count on being good without breaking the bank.

We placed an order to go. When we got our food brought to the car it was cold. (I think Wendy forgot to call me so I could just walk in & get it so it'd still be hot. They were busy though. All the people that were inside despite us being in a pandemic ud83eudd14). However, the Nashville Hot Chicken was good. The sides, (onion rings and sweet potato fries) were good despite being cold. The salad was good even though I specifically requested onions and did not get them. The oysters tasted like they were not seasoned and almost not cooked completely. For the prices of our meals, I expected A LOT better. I will possibly give them another chance by trying their wings and burgers one day.

While the food was good, once it got there, in my opinion it took entirely too long from seating, to ordering to food delivery. Then they brought me fried chicken instead of the grilled that I ordered, so my husband had eaten his entire meal before my food came back out. They did take mine off, so I appreciate that. They guy at the table across from us forgot to ask them to leave the cheese off of his order, and they willingly exchanged it, even though it was his mistake.nI’ll give them another try in the future. Hopefully in time they will get things sorted out. I know it’s a new establishment and it takes a bit of time to get organized.

Jefferson’s is an amazing restaurant. Everyone here always exceeds my expectations and are ALWAYS friendly! Piper was our server today, she was extremely attentive, polite, and I think she is an amazing asset to the company. Ask for Marcus to make your food in the kitchen it was delicious. Will be coming here many more times.

One of the worst dining experiences of my life ( no exaggeration)!! We were seated rather quickly but that is where it fell apart. We waited at least 15 minutes before our waiter even acknowledged us and took our drink order, then another 10 minutes to get the drinks. I ordered a side of artichoke dip which was $2.99 on the menu but I was charged $5.99 + $1.99 for it. When it was brought out only the top was warm and the middle and throughout was cold. Did not get Drake’s (waiter) attention until he actually brought our food out which was another 20 minute wait after we got our drinks. A couple came in behind us and they got their drinks and meal with hardly any wait which upset me. My daughter’s chicken tenders were so overcoooked it looked like shredded chicken in the basket. My wings were cold, not even lukewarm, and to think after waiting so long they would be hot! There was another waitress, Grace, I think, who tried to help but she had her own tables. The manager, I presume, never came to see if everything was okay with us as she constantly was visiting the table next to us making sure everything was okay with them. After almost 2 hrs in the place we left after I had to interrupt our waiter for the ticket. He and the manager were preparing tables for a ball team and parents and when I asked for the ticket the manager seemed annoyed and it was like he was afraid to move. I understand they were understaffed on that Saturday afternoon but that was ridiculous. We came there because other places had a wait time. We felt confident we were going to get in and out timely, but no! We could have waited the time at other restaurants, got our food, ate and still beat the service time here. Very disappointed as no other Jefferson’s has these issues when I’ve dined there. Still tipped him 20% for the bad service because my son is a waiter and I know how hard it is for them , but do better!!!
