Prayer Mountain Academy

We had lost hope for our son. In desperation, we sent him to Prayer Mountain Boys Academy. It was the hardest day of our life. However, the staff was wonderful and filled us with hope. Now, our son is about to graduate and is so much better for it. He loves his counselor, and most importantly, lives for Jesus again. Throughout our time, the staff was friendly and helpful, and kept in contact with us about our son’s progress. I can’t recommend it enough. I know the days ahead will not be problem free, but I have hope again, and I am thankful for the time he has spent here and the things he has learned. I’m also thankful for the fact that he didn’t miss school, and can graduate on time thanks to their online school.

Prayer Mountain has been a God send for our son and for our family. Anyone posting a negative review about this wonderful program is probably either a disgruntled former student, or a disgruntled parent. If it is a parent that is talking from experience, then I am sorry but you clearly did not do your due diligence before sending your child here.nnIs Prayer Mountain for every teenage boy…no. Is it the right place for our son…yes. How do we know that? Well before sending him here we considered several other options. When we found Prayer Mountain, we began conversations with the admissions people. After doing additional research, we decided that we would like to see the facility and meet the staff in person. We visited Prayer Mountain for a ½ day, toured the facilities, met with the leadership staff, and asked all the hard questions that we had. We walked away knowing what we were getting into with Prayer Mountain and felt extremely comfortable that our son would benefit from this life changing experience.nnIf Prayer Mountain’s program did not work for you as a student or for you as a parent, please do not blame them. Here is a fact…Prayer Mountain has successfully helped hundreds of young men, who this program was right for, for years. They have a proven, faith centered program and approach that has been proven to work more times than it has not. But not everything is for everybody and if you are unhappy, this probably was not the right place for you as a student to have attended or for you as a parent to have sent your son to. That is not Prayer Mountain’s fault, that is your fault. We are extremely fortunate that our son is one of that has had a great experience here and we thank God every day that He led us to Prayer Mountain.nnI encourage any parent considering sending a son here to take your time and understand fully what Prayer Mountain has to offer. Then the decision is yours. God Bless, good luck and never give up on your son…for he is too important…isn’t he.

My son didn't go here but when I called they said it was $4k a month which isn't very affordable. Didn't offer any financial aid. I don't know how anyone could afford that unless they were very wealthy. The lady was nice on the phone but negative rating due to the site being misleading and claiming to be better priced.

While challenging, the program is extremely rewarding for those who are willing to put in the work. I found christ here and am now on track to go to college.

I graduated this year in march and I really loved this place and it was hard coming into the program and i really wanted to get out of the place but after a couple of weeks i started to get used to this place and all the staff and students are really loving loving and caring, if you know right from wrong you will understand that the teaching and discipline is reasonable and normal and i highly recommend this place for others and from my experience when i look back on this place it is totally worth it and i really love the staff and students.
