I took my taxes to LBS on the recommendation of a family member, who I later found out had actually never went to them. The ladies were very punctual and prompt in getting all my information from me and figuring out how much they could get me back on my refund.nThere was a bit of a mix up in the beginning as to my paperwork, but after that was settled, everything was back on track. The lady told me that I would be getting back close to 3700 total (both state and federal) and I agreed to the 400 and some odd dollar fee she charged (it was a complicated return, so I was expecting this amount). She told me that my return would be filed and I could expect it in 7-21 days. I hung up the phone and went about my life.nnThree weeks later, I had still not received my taxes and each attempt to log in to Where's My Refund failed. I tried to call. No answer. Tried to call the next day. I was told the lady who did my taxes wasn't in that day, but when she got in, they would call me back. Three days later I called again. Was told that they had been out of the office because someone's mother was in the hospital and that they would get my info about my tax refund together and call me back. I asked her if she could give me the info so that I could check it myself and found out that my refund had decreased by half of what they originally told me. I asked her why, she said she had no idea and that she would have to talk to the lady who prepared them for me, who still wasn't in the office. The next day, no call, so I tried to call them. No answer. Today, I tried to call every hour from 9 this morning until 5 this evening. I got an answer at 3:40 and the same lady told me that April wasn't in and that she was with a customer and asked if she could call me back in 15 minutes. No call back. I tried calling back 15 times before 5 o'clock with no answer.nThese people are not professional at all. I would not recommend taking your business here. I have no idea what I am getting back on my taxes anymore as what they entered to the IRS and what documents I have from them contain conflicting information.nI have a really bad feeling that I was just scammed out of my money.nI still have yet to get a hold of them, however, I will be trying all day tomorrow and if that fails, my next course of action is to go to their actual office. If that doesn't produce results, I will be filing an official complaint with the IRS.nnSTAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE.
