I am new to Logansville and my usual Mosque is nearly an hour away in East Atlanta. It was very close to fast breaking time so I decided to visit a Mosque closer by and I looked this one up on Google. When I drove to this Mosque, I had almost passed it because I had the picture that google displayed in my mind, but it was nothing like the picture but still it didn't matter, I just wanted to break my fast and pray Mahgrib. With just my face and hands showing, I got out of my car but unfortunately there was no sign visible for a sister's entrance. So I was standing outside, reluctant to go in because I wasn't sure how too. Well a guy delivering food arrived and someone came to the door, he took the food from the guy and closed the door. He didn't even so much as look in my direction to even tell me if there was even a woman's entrance. I knew that he had saw me. So I say all of this to say that if you are a woman, BEWARE. I didn't get a welcoming feeling here nor was I even acknowledged. It would have even served me if he had said that there was not any women allowed but I was simply invisible. This would have never happened at my normal Mosque. The people there are extremely helpful regardless, if they see someone who is lost or maybe new and trying to find their way to worship, they politely and kindly direct that person(s) to where they can go to make wuzu if needed and to the designated prayer area. This could of put a damper on my night but I just calmy went back to my car and drove home. This is not proper adab. This was a cultural mishap. If you see a Muslim who needs help, it's your duty to assist them regardless or you get someone who can assist them if you are not comfortable with talking to a woman. If we are really and truly one Ummah, we must do better. Subhan'Allah. ud83dudd4c

The imam here is very kind and reasonable.
