Landmark Christian School

terrible, would not recommend sending your kids here past elementary unless you want them to be forced under authority that suppresses thought that goes against the dictatorship of the principal who does the job of the headmaster because the headmaster is too lazy. it says christian school and it's true that there are some great teachers but the overall outlook is: it's a prison and that's why a lot of people, especially from my grade, are leaving next year. all this school has taught me is to dread going to chapel and to bible class and that i will send my kids to a private school but NEVER to a christian school. the administration look down on anyone who goes against them because they view themselves as empowered by God and they are stubborn, no matter what you do and no matter how much you complain and petition nothing will get done to fix the problem i promise you that. don't make the mistake we did and wait and see if it will get better, it won't and i promise you that just get out while you can.

The application process appears to be biased when selecting applicants. I completed the application requirements well in advance of the deadline for kindergarten. My child was placed on the waiting list. However, I receive frequent emails of the school currently accepting applications for K4-12 which is also posted on their official website well after the selection process was completed. The school has a waiting list despite advertising openings in the school. It gives the impression of the school utilizing families for the monies generated from the application fee and then wait list your child. The school, behind the scenes, know they will not be selecting your child.

Landmark is such a great school I have been at this school for 7 years. I love the teachers. They care about and they love each and every student they teach. No matter what.

Me and my daughter felt like failures when we walked out of this school! They don’t help kids, they have to already come to them college prep ready! Basically telling me they don’t have time for my daughter and that means to me if something was to happen where she fell behind, teachers don’t have the time to help students! The admissions lady Donna (Fairburn) asking personal questions that have NOTHING to do with admissions. I knew when I moved to the south side I would have to put my daughter in private school but I didn’t know that me and my daughter would be under scrutiny! I had two medical emergencies in my family which caused me to travel back home to Michigan to care for my terminally ill mom and I was diagnosed with breast cancer and my daughter suffered with school in the process!! Ms. Donna (Fairburn) has the NERVE to tell me, you wouldn’t believe all the STORIES we have heard!!! Meaning my story had no merit? who does that and says that to people and this is my testimony! How is this a Christian school!! Figured it out with GODs help! It’s not a Christian school! They just using the word! My daughter is a Wonderful student that will achieve success without LANDMARK! They wanted me to submit application for 5th and not 6 grade cause she lacking in ONE subject!! I get it!! The south side is where 99% of where African American lives and you have to be PICTURE PERFECT for LANDMARK! Don’t get me wrong with this review! We have not been denied as decisions are not made until March! No my daughter will not repeat the 5th grade because of one class! No my daughter will NEVER attend this school! My home cost $200,000 and Ms Donna had the NERVE to ask me “you didn’t research schools in your area”? Like I’m dumb enough to purchase a home and not research schools and crime!!! Why do you think I’m at your school! It’s 5 mins for our home and advertising on their website was wonder but the actual people that run admissions are NOT Christians! And the said part about it is my NEW 2017 home is an investment property that I moved into to upgrade and sell in a few years! This area is under my class but a perfect place to sell a home! Back to north Fulton, or Duluth where my daughter can get EXECELLENT school without the hefty pice tag and scrunity!!
