This state park is nestled nicely on some hills in Royston GA. The RV Campground online reservation process has made it a breeze to find a good spot for us to camp with our travel trailer.nUpon arrival, we were to drive up a hill to the park office and register. Be aware, if you have a travel trailer or a long RV, turning around from the park office to drive towards the campground area is challenging. Recommend that you park right beside the dump station area which you will see on your right as you drive towards the park office. Better still, if you already have a reservation, recommend driving to your campsite first and come back later for a reservation.nThe park is beautiful with lots of fun activities to do. We took nice long walks around the park and let me say, it gets a bit strenuous at times when you are going up and down the hills.nThe campground is also very nice. The rest areas in the campground, however, could benefit from some renovations though. They are OK at best.nnI am giving this state park a 4 based on our experience turning around our camper from the park office and the campground rest areas. Definitely recommend giving this place a try for camping and other fun activities.

We did not explore much of the park. My family rented picnic shelter 4 for the day. The reservation process was easy, both online and once we got there. Shelter 4 is in a great location by restrooms and a playground. The restrooms were clean and well maintained. The playground had plenty of structures to playing. Five kids ages 2-8 loved it! We ventured down to a little lookout area over the creek and the kids of course ended up with their feet in the water. Great day and great facilities!

We had a great day here on Sunday celebrating my nieces birthday. The park is beautiful and a great place to camp, BBQ, hike or just relax in a swing by the water. Love it here!
