The owner was lovely and helpful. Just the right amount of suggestions/explanations and letting me browse and explore. She was also very conscientious about safety guidelines for the pandemic.

Not welcoming at all.

Big, bright store with a huge selection of yarn - from novelty to cashmeres! Laura is an amazing knitter in the Russian knitting tradition. Ask her to show you her lace beaded shawls!

My first time there. The owner was not very welcoming at all. All business . Anything I shared about knitting she was very argumentative and disapproving of new ideas or freedom of speech for that matter. She wanted to have me in private lessons before she would allow someone to sit in a group of people!nVery off putting!nI came there to learn and all I got was a very tense environment and not friendly st all. Maybe it’s her culture but when you are running a business you have to be nice to all types of people. You are there to help and get people to the skill they want within reason. When I told her that she had a very nice shop- she replied “ I know”nI just had to leave - she did not say goodbye or come back or anything!nHorrible customer service!

I was in The Knitting Patch when the person who made the last derogatory review was there. First, there was no appearance of a man, who would be named Jay in the store , so it looks like this is a misrepresentation of fact. Lisa spent over an hour pulling yarns from the cabinets and apparently checking prices elsewhere on her telephone. Dr. Hall was never rude in any way. However, at one point when she kept pulling yarns out onto the floor, he did offer that if she needed more of a yarn, if she would give it to us we can check the inventory.nnIt is interesting that Jay & Lisa left the same review which is curious itself, especially since Jay was not in the store, and has no direct knowledge of anything. In this instance it appears that both reviews are not supported by the truth and multiple witnesses who were in the store along with me at the time Lisa & Jay were presumably there.nnLisa made an incredible mess of the well organized store, and for all appearances was using the store to conduct her on-line shopping, which is unethical. I have been a customer in Knitting Patch for over10 years, and in such time have never observed the owner(s) being rude to anyone. More to the point, there were no men in the store at the time that offensive behaviour was suggested. Hence, that representation by Jay appears to be a total fabrication.nnIf Lisa was looking for a very specific yarn, why would she not ask the owner if she had that yarn, rather than waste an hour making a mess of the store?nnThe Knitting Patch is the best knitting store I have ever been in anywhere. Lora, the owner, is always extremely helpful, and above all courteous. The selection is incredible, and Lora's knitting knowledge is incredible.
