E L Whigham Elementary School

So far, my son has had a great educational experience. His teachers are kind, knowledgeable and make lessons fun and engaging. His teacher uses class dojo as a way of parent communication and respond quickly to parent questions/concerns. One thing I would like to see in Miami-Dade public schools is an agriculture club so kiddos can learn about the importance of our agriculture community and farming skills.

i go to this school, i think most of the teachers are very nice. all of my teachers have been very nice. i think it is a great school. my teacher now is Ms.Cummings (5th grade wave teacher)

I’ve been to this school for 3 years before. I left after 4th Because kids the were horrible. Rude,Bullies, They curse, And they also talk bad about teachers. But my course through 2nd and 3rd was amazing. Mrs.D and Mr.Garcia Are great , I’ve gotten honer roll in their class. But the school is VERY dirty , when they say they are going to paint the walls, no one did it. And when you go up stairs on the wall it says a explicit word. Also in the morning your cramped in the art room. And once I saw a dead crab . The school doesn’t care about wildlife roaming around. I saw a fox run in P.E field. So if you want your kid to go here , take them but if you were looking for a clean school this is not the school !nn- Former, Student . Off to middle school. P.S thanks for teaching me ! ,Jazmin.

My granddaughter has here since kindergarten and she is now in 2nd grade in the WAVE program, great teachers so far and good school, no problems with bullying up to now

I have two kids I went to the school the school is pretty good for being a free public school my oldest son went went there in the late 90s early 2000 and my youngest son is going there now yes a lot have changed but for being a public school I think this is one of the best beside Whispering Pine the only complaint I have about this school is the same complaint I have about Miami it is too crowded one teacher cannot handle all these kids but it is what it is
