Had the best time. It was raining, but that didn't matter as we rented a golf cart. The animals were all very well taken care of and very friendly. My children got to pet kangaroos and feed/pet Lories (colorful tropical birds). The best part of this experience was the cave and tour guide. Brennen was very funny and the cave was absolutely gorgeous. Though short I would rank it more beautiful than Mammoth. Kids said they liked it the best of all the caves we had been to on this trip.
We really enjoyed our time! I love this place & ALL the animals are super friendly. Great place to bring kids. Everything is hands on so they get to pet every animal. To lounge outside with the Kangaroos ud83eudd98 was so cool! Their fur is soft & they’re so cute. The workers bring their own pets from home. There were 3 dogs and 2 cats also super friendly & the kids were petting and playing with them. The underground cave was great. Besides being a little slippery it was still a great place to snap some beautiful pictures & learn a little about the history. They have a few shows & cow milking for the kids. Gift shop has some cute gifts. This place is a must. So happy we had a great day.
Nice if you get a go cart but not as interesting for the price
What a great day we had here as a family! Prices were not bad for the experience. Feeding the animals and doing the gem mining is not included in the price of admission though but worth the money to feed the animals especially the kangaroos! We also rented a golf cart because we have a 4 year old and a almost 1 year old and just for the experience of it! Definitely recommend! Thank you KY Down Under staff, you rock!
We happen to stumble upon this place when searching for activities to do near Nashville. It is a little over an hour to drive and my kids thought that this was the best place in the world. My kids were able to milk a cow, watch a goat herding demonstration as well as tour a cave. However their favorite part was feeding and interacting with the kangaroos. All the staff were so nice and informative. We highly recommend a visit!
