Challenging and beautiful at the same time! You will want to keep riding, but you will be fully aware that you have to be able to make it back to where you started. Don't get caught up in the scenery only to have to call a lifeline to get back home. I like that VDOT actually maintains the trail to keep it clean.
Virginia Capital Trail starts or ends here, depending on which way you're headed! Ample parking right across the street at the Jamestown Settlement and American Revolution Museum. Well-maintained trail is excellent for biking, hiking, strolling, or jogging. This trailhead features a small covered area with limited seating.
