What a great park. Well marked trails & dogs welcome on leash.
A great state park for an afternoon of hiking. $7 parking fee is well worth it.
Best place to hike in the Hampton Roads area! Lots of trails, well marked and maintained.
The First Landing Trail Center is a great place to start a hike! There's several trails of varying lengths and difficulties so you're sure to find one to fit your needs. There are maps and brochures that explain the path and the bits of nature you'll get to see. Going on a weekday you can almost believe there's no one else there, just you and nature. Cost per vehicle is reasonable ($7weekday, $10 weekend). The Trail Center has maps and a small vending and picnic area.
Such a beautiful walk on these trails. I always enjoy my time here.
