I've shopped at Marion's Bi-Rite numerous times during the pandemic because I prefer to avoid big crowded stores. They have signs on their door limiting the number of people in the store as well as one stating that there would be no service if one had no mask. Today when I went, over half the people present had no masks. I asked the young lady at the checkout why people were not required to wear a mask. She shrugged her shoulders. I quickly made my purchase and when I returned to the register, I asked her why she didn't politely ask people to abide with the mask requirement. She said it was up to someone's whose name I couldn't hear. In any case, I left quickly and won't be back. Folks can make a political statement if they want. I can make my statement by not spending anymore money at a business where my health and safety are not valued.
What a wonderful group of folks. From the young lady at the door to the lady cutting deli meat to the butcher. Everyone was smiling and friendly. Great prices on meat too!
They pack a whole lot of stuff in such a small store. Impressive!
