Lovely location away from the Yorktown Battlefield. It is significant in that the surrender of the British happened here. The house had been through 50 owners and fallen into severe disrepair before the National Parks purchased the property and did a restoration. Beautiful grounds and worth the extra drive to find and enjoy some solitude.
Sadly Moore House was closed. This will be updated once we get a chance to tour it. However the outside of the house was free to walk through - perfect for a nice fall day. With the Yorktown battlegrounds nearby it makes for a nice historical walking tour.
Great area for me to work in. I love it!
Beautiful setting but closed due to Covid.
