Great campground that offers a little bit of everything for everyone. Very kid, family oriented too.
We stayed at Grey’s Point Rv Park the weekend of August 21-24th 2020. It was a family get together, so we had an RV site as well as a cabin rental.nFrom the moment we made reservation’s, arriving at the park as well as leaving the park after the weekend, the STAFF were all amazing. All very friendly and helpful!nWe arrived at the park and was greeted by a extremely nice and informative gentleman who gave us all of our paperwork needed for our stay as well as a update about the “COVID 19” restrictions and or rules.nWe were then assigned a 2nd gentleman on a golf cart, who escorted us to our site and helped with making sure the rig was in perfect position. At last minute our reserved campsite was moved to a new location 1 row behind the original one. They really tried there best to keep us as close to the cabin rental as possible for our family get together. Campsite was just a smidge out of level, easy fix.nCabin’s were very clean and sanitized. Everything was like new! Excellent condition. Bed’s were comfortable and the grandkids loved sleeping and playing up in the loft area of the cabin.nOur neighbors started moving in and all seemed very nice.nFriday night it started getting a little rowdy and loud. It seemed like everyone had a golf cart that had stereo systems on them that played all variety of “music”.nNeighbors dog a pit mix visited our several times without a leash on. I have 3 little dogs and we have a little fenced in dog yard at our camper. The Pit mix would come over and bother them through the fence. The owner would come and get him and the 1st time apologized, but never again. The party and loud noise finally ended at about 2:00am. I have been at many campgrounds and 90% of the time, everyone respects the quiet time rules. Saturday morning, I made a complaint to management and they said they would take care of, They apologized for the inconvenience and problem.nSaturday evening was very quiet and there were no dog visitors at our site. Quiet time hours were observed and we could get a good night sleep. The staff were on patrol well after 11:00pm. Kudos to the staff for making sure the rules were being followed.nThe front desk staff were very accommodating and helped us out.nI would Definitely stay here again!
It depends on what you are looking for at a campground. If you want a nice relaxing time, this is not the place. If you are looking to party this is your spot. Looking to let your teenager drive golf carts around with music blaring, this is your spot. Personally, I was not looking for a party atmosphere. Was there to fish and relax and did enjoy using the dock for the boat. Did not enjoy all the rowdy drunks and unsupervised kids.
Great place for a weekend getaway or to have your own camper here! Lots of stuff to do with the kids. Today was arts and crafts and crabbing!!!! Caught a bunch and got to hold some.
We stayed at Grey's Point for 4 nights in November 2020 (amidst coronavirus). This is a great Thousand Trails campground (one of the very few we've visited). Campsites are assigned, roads are paved, most campsites are paved. Due to COVID the annual Oyster Festival in nearby Urbanna was cancelled. I was told that this cg is double-booked (extra crowded) during that event and we would not have appreciated that. This cg has multiple kid friendly amenities, access for boats to the Rappahannock River and adult activities during their open season. One gripe - this is a youngish crowd that likes to play it's music loud enough to be heard 10 sites away. I don't think that's very neighborly.
