I used to LOVE Hondos and classified it as my favorite restaurant. However, we went on Valentine's Day and were not pleased. After reading a few reviews from the same day, it's very concerning. I want to start out by saying our waiter was good.. we've had better but he was fine. My husband ordered the baby back ribs, he bit into the first piece and there was a long piece of black hair in it (no, it wasn't my hair. I have a very low cut and my husband is bald headed). We notified the waiter, the waiter took the plate and said he would handle it. The manager ( I don't remember his name) came over and was not very friendly and didn't apologize at all. He stated the ribs would be back out soon and offered my husband a soup (my husband accepted the offer for the soup, but never received it). My husband received the replacement ribs in less than 10 minutes ( I may be stretching it with 10 minutes it felt more like 5 minutes). Also, my husband ordered an extra side, which he never received. I asked for a well done steak and parts of it was medium well. This used to be a top notched restaurant, I am not sure if management changed or WHAT caused the difference.

Spectacular experience! From the cocktails to the entrees, from the appetizers to desert. John was a phenomenal server and the food was delicious. Served in a timely manner, piping hot, the staff was polite, accommodating and classy. Will definitely be going there again!!

Wow, what a 180 degree change. I was asked to give them another chance, because of my experience about 2 weeks ago. The manager (Toni), brought us back and treated us royally. Our waiter (Zack), made it clear that our last experience was not the norm. Zack was funny, cordial and very seasoned as a waiter. The manager came and personally apologize to my parents. Our meal was complimentary, and of course we gave a tip, as always. I am inclined to believe that our previous waitress (who no longer works there) was not representative of the Hondos culture. Kudos to Hondos and its management team, who were willing to correct a mistake. #iamback.

Great, professional service from hostess, to bartender, to waiter, to the manager who was making his rounds engaging each guest. Delicious drinks. Lamb Chops were cooked perfectly to my liking and seasoned well. Very thick cuts also. My wife's Ribeye Steak was delicious, seasoned well and cooked perfectly according to her. The miss was the mac and cheese.... it looks like Kraft mac and cheese and very cheap, we were expecting a high end mac and that was NOT it, but our waiter suggested we try the Garlic Mashed Potatoes and he switched it out. Those were delicious... just add a small but more salt and pepper and we were happy. Overall good experience on a casual Tuesday evening outing

Valentine’s Brunch Update: I originally wrote a lackluster review of brunch. I was immediately contacted by the General Manager, which I feel is stellar on Hondo’s part. It’s great to see a business cares enough to take reviews seriously and reaches out to the patron. I would recommend them for being genuine in their efforts.
