Big, nice boat ramps and plenty of parking. Centrally located close to great fishing spots on the James river, and the new lily pad restaurant is an awesome place for a cold beer, and good food down by the water. Also, there is a tame canada goose there, (I think his name is Steve) but the goose will come over and beg for food. He also has a little nesting area made for him there, and just neat to see.
The boat ramp is nice and there are 6 ramps so there is rarely a line . Also they have clean bathrooms .
I love going to the boat landing and listening to the live bands at the lilly pad there.. one of the best things in varina here..
Beautiful, clean and wonderful to visit. Great place to launch your boat or just fish off the pier.
