DO NOT sign up for any personal training unless you want to be completely locked in to a year’s worth of training sessions (probably between $1500-$2500) without any chance of a refund, even if you end up not liking your training experience for whatever reason. You’re not even on the hook for the sessions you used, or the current month, but on the hook for the entire year’s worth of sessions; even if you never used a single one of them after signing up.nnUnlike a normal business where one can simply get a refund on a purchase if they find that don’t like the item for any reason, OR a service where one can simply decide after trying it if they don’t want to continue with that service the next month, OR even unlike many other gyms and personal trainers that don’t rely on such strict yearly contracts to be successful, it seems that Crunch’s entire business model is built on locking people into year long contracts on services they haven’t even tried yet. I wonder why that is...nnImagine if you wanted to sign your kid up for Drum Lessons and you were talked into signing a contract for an entire year’s worth of lessons before ever even giving it a shot. Now let’s say you end up not liking the teacher or your kid simply decides they don’t want to play drums anymore but the music company now forces you have to not only pay for the current month of sessions, but actually pay for all the dozens and dozens for of future lessons in the next year that the company will never have to actually provide for you.nnWhat business model is so insecure of the value of their service that they must lock people into an entire years worth of session before the customer even tries one out? There is no good reason to build a company this way. But there is a reason why it isn’t advertised this way or clearly presented during the sign up session but instead mostly buried in fine print.nnNot all personal trainers or gyms have to rely on such poor models but Crunch has likely found it very profitable at the expense of good customer service.nnMy experience left such a bad taste in my mouth, given me close to zero respect for the company as a whole, and has caused me to cancel my entire membership to the gym as well, despite it being the closest gym to my neighborhood (Malvern Gardens).

I'm so glad Crunch came to Richmond. Gold's gym is the worst. This place is clean, friendly, not too crowded, great management.. All things golds is not.

Very warm staff, equipment is always clean and you don't have to wait to use the machines.

Clean with good variety of machines. I have gone at different times during the day and while always steady it is not overcrowded.

They’ve kept charging me for my wife’s membership after I cancelled it by email months ago.... I’m about to contact the better business bureau.
