Wesley Hodges Fly Fishing

Could not have had a better trip with Wes. He was super flexible and did everything he could to make our trip happen even though the weather changed our plans. He set me up perfectly to catch my first trout. I will definitely be booking another trip

Just got back from a 5 day trip floating multiple stretches on The New River. Wesley and Brad are great guides and put us on a ridiculous number of fish each day. Gourmet lunches made each day even better. Stayed at an airbnb in Eggleston so every trip was super close. Best way to sum up the trip... BIG smallies on topwater! Will definitely be going back.

My fly fishing experience with Wes is the best I have ever had. From his sense of humor and his wealth of experience about casting technique to his ability to make an amazing shore lunch including a cheeseburger on a charcoal grill, grilled onions included. He is without a doubt the best guide I have ever had the opportunity to fish with. If you want a full day fishing experience Wes is the guide for you.

This was my 2nd time guiding with Wes, and my friends first time fishing for Smallmouth. We'd been postponed due to rain 2 weeks in a row, but Wes worked with us and got us in. Fishing Spawn/Post Spawn is always tricky, but Wes knew what river to hit and how to adjust to get us on fish throughout the day. Great guide and genuine company to be around.

We had a fantastic experience with Wes on the New River. Wes is an extremely patient instructor, providing casting instruction for my son, new to fly fishing. He was able to enjoy the beauty of the river and his first float experience. Throughout the day, Wes navigated a high flow on the river to give us access to great pockets with lots of opportunities for strikes. Wonderful day of fishing and we'll definitely do it again.
