Done a good job on my taxes

Wonderful!

I paid Bell & Associates to prepare my 2009 taxes. This year, the IRS took my refund which totaled $2305 to cover a mistake that was made on my 2009 taxes which Bell & Associates repaired. When I got in touch with Bell & Associates, Mr. Bell himself said that it was a mistake on their part because the man who prepared my taxes put the wrong amount in the wrong box which resulted in my refund that year being larger than it was supposed to be. I was lead to believe that the refund was due to an education credit that was applied for me being in school full-time. However, when I told Mr. Bell about the credit, he said that there was no credit applied to my taxes that year. When I stated that because the error was admittedly on their end and that I was lead to believe my refund was due to a credit, he basically tried to say that they wouldn't give me my reimbursement for my refund because it was evened out. The office has a policy that states that they would pay for any mistakes made however, I have yet to receive any compensation whatsoever from them concerning the matter. I have talked to two lawyers and am considering small-claims court which would be inconvenient since I now live 5 hours away. I am a teacher assistant and was relying on my tax refund to help with summer expenses because I will not be paid during the summer. I am also a graduate student and needed the money to help with education costs. I believe that I could have done my own taxes if I wanted mistakes to be made. But to pay someone and trust them with my finances, I expected better service. I also want to add that I've called the office twice since then and left messages and no one will return my calls.

I have been going here for the past 12 years to have my taxes done and I will never go anywhere else. Everyone is always very friendly and professional, and my taxes are always done in a timely manner. I am always 100% satisfied with Bell & Associates and will continue to return year after year for my tax prep.
