Safeway

I've been going here since coming to the Fairfax area two years ago. The staff is always friendly and ready to help in any way possible. This morning I stopped in and saw a young lady locked out, so I went into the meatpacking area and asked for a hanger. Darnell not only got me a hanger but came out to help this young lady. After 30 minutes, we were able to get her into her car and off to work (she still went in and got her Starbucks). Darnell, as is the rest of the staff there, ready to help. Clean store, organic products, and incredible prices! Darnell, formerly from Newark, with this Brooklyn guy assisting a young lady from Illinois. SAFEWAY, my store of choice.

Safeway is a fully featured grocery store. It has a full size selection, I am always satisfied with the quality choices in every aisle, the store is laid out well, it is taking good precautions for the pandemic, and the location is convenient. Prices tend to be a bit higher than some other grocery stores around, but as a nearby resident, overall this is my favorite grocery.

Mostly organized, though they have changed some things around recently without changing the labels on the signs in each aisle. Not the widest selection, and sometimes also not the freshest. I like that they have people working the registers as well as self service check out.

This store needs some attention. It seems to be constantly understaffed, leaving customers standing around at the supposed-to-be-faster self-checkout lanes while waiting for someone to assist with validating a coupon or fixing a balky checkout station.

Pretty good sales and conspicuously marked throughout the store. Friendly staff most of the time. Plenty of parking.
