Very nice park for trail running and biking. We rented a boat and had fun fun fishing and riding around the lake. The staff at clayfor lake water sports is great to work with. We also stayed at a cabin in the park. Very nice cabin.
What a great State Park! I just came here to do some walking/hiking and enjoyed a beautiful spring day exploring. I love the visitor's center!
Great family oriented beach area
My last hike with sweet Ellie Belle was at Claytor Lake. We delivered this very special English Shepherd to her new forever owners during this trip. Not a single auto or person was seen during our hike along the trails. The woodlands were covered with rements of a recent light snow covering the fallen leaves and branches on the grounds. The winter silence in this beautiful park was exactly what Ellie and I needed on this last walk together where prayers were sent up for her to live happily ever after!
