Extremely well maintained trail with a gorgeous bald at the top. Good camping in and around the shelter with a latrine on hand.
A nice new shelter with an amazing view. No water source on site though and privy is currently locked as of 9/12/20

OK shelter...great view. Was there in fall and could see sunset from overlook. Also after dark good to hangout on the overlook to watch the lights from town below and relax from the days hike. Then just steps away from shelter when it's time to turn in.nnNo bear box or established place to hang food.nnPrivy was ok...sign to just throw some leaves in...not sure about that?nnGood place for a fire and to spend the night
