This is a nice place to park for access to the Fairfax Cross County Trail. Heading east, the trail is mostly wide and paved or hardpack. It follows the Accotink Creek through wooded areas meandering between residential neighborhoods. Heading north-east on the trail is essentially taking the sidewalk on on Pickett Road, which turns into Blake Lane, which eventually turns into Jermantown Road. After about three miles you get back to another forested trail area just before the Oak Marr Recreation Center.
Wonderful park connected to amazing paths.
Nice trails running through forested area and the occasional creek
Good local baseball venue. Small playground available for siblings.
The river was a nice spot to let the pup swim. Nice paved trails. Great baseball field, gates dont lock
