Brentwood Park Playground and Pond

Brentwood Park is a public park maintained by the Fairfax County Park Authority. The park was found in a clean state, and was not busy. The park contains a pond; a narrow dirt pedestrian path encircles the pond. Swimming and boating are prohibited on the small pond, as well as walking on any residual ice in the winter months. The park also features large grass fields and open spaces; pets are required to stay on leash by county ordnance. The park also contains a playground, bench, and two picnic tables. Related amenities were provided, with a trash can and grill in an easily accessible area. The trail leading to Goodwood Drive to the playground is paved with asphalt, while the portion of the trail between the playground and Appling Valley Road is surfaced with stonedust. The entirety of the trail is generally level, with few bumps or uneven sections. A bollard restricts vehicular access at the Goodwood Drive entrance while a series of well positioned rocks keep vehicles off of the trail at the Appling Valley Road entrance.
