I love this park but the vines are killing the trees!

Pleasant 1/2 mile Fairfax County Park trail near Merrifield VA running north from Route 50 along Bear Branch stream. Trail has exercise stations and a few benches, with grassy areas behind houses on one side and woods on the other. Very limited parking near Route 50 and no restroom facilities.

This Fairfax County Park Authority maintained park features a pedestrian and bike path that starts from the Route 50 path and continues to near a private pond where the trail dead-ends in the forest. The trail was resurfaced by Tibbs Paving in 2018. Three additional access paths to the Barkley Gate subdivision are provided. Six exercise stations are provided for the following activities: curl-ups, pull-ups, step-ups, balance, arm strength, and freestyle stretching.
