City of Fairfax Parks & Recreation

Just visited my first COF park (Daniel run) and wow COF certainly has nice parks. We'll be back.

I saw some great looking, well maintained vintage, classic and modern cars and various other vehicles. This was the 20th edition of the City of Fairfax Labor Day Car Show.

A friend of mine lives over near George Mason. This past summer, she threw a birthday party for her 9-year old son in Providence Park on West Drive. I had never been to this park before and I really liked it. She rented out the pavilion/shed there which served as party headquarters. Everything in this park was clean and I was impressed with the location of the park and the facilities. I even went for a little walk along a hiking trail, totally unexpected. Good parking close to the pavilion, clean enough restrooms.

Center of the Fairfax city is ornamented with elaborate park with water fountains or the kids to play in while parents can sit on nearby chairs, often there are bands playing on the stage, a real fun place to visit and chill.
