Such a great museum packed with history. Being able to see the space shuttle Discovery up close is just a humbling experience.nnThe SR-71 Blackbird being front and center when you enter is also exhilarating. Seeing both of those up close along with all of the military planes is incredible.nnI was happy that this opened up again during the summer so we were able to take a ride down and experience it again, despite COVID.nnSocial distancing was enforced well while we were there and cleaning efforts where excellent.

This is a nice museum. I went here while I was in DC and was satisfied with my experience. I walked into this museum and walked around it. There are a lot of airplanes here, which is pretty cool. There’s a Concorde, Space Shuttle, car with wings on it, plus a bunch of other planes. There’s also a flight sim that you can do, but I didn’t use it. I walked by all of the airplanes and read the signs in front of each one. After I did that, I went up to the museum’s observation tower, where you can see planes land and takeoff at the nearby Dulles Airport. After I went to the observation desk and watched planes land and takeoff for a while, I left, satisfied with my experience. I gave this museum five stars because it has great planes and a nice observation desk.

Outstanding exhibits! A huge venue, parking is pricey but worth it. See the Space Shuttle up close and personal. Big and Little boys of all ages love this place and it is not crushed with people like the Smithsonian Museums. Located near Dulles Airport. If you are a tourist, you can leave there and check out the Manassas Battlefields nearby.
