Ivy Creek Park

With gentle, paved trails good for walking, biking, and running, in addition to a gorgeous fishing lake surrounded by evergreens, this park is excellent for families of all ages. Parking is slightly limited, which is why I removed one star (though this does allow for a less crowded atmosphere). Otherwise a great experience and I do highly recommend.

Fun place to go fish. The scenery is beautiful and you can rent a paddle boat. Wish you could fish off the paddle boat though. That would be the only down fall but all and all it's a great place to go with friends and your little ones.

This park is a good place to walk, for me. I see people fishing (catch & release) around the small lake often, and during season, there are canoe and kayak rentals. During winter you can see some nice Mountain views from the top. It also has a small playground for kids. There is a paved curvy path to walk down to the lake and trails through the woods. My only complaint is that when there is a lot of rain, the lake overflows and floods the road so you can’t cross.

I've lived in LYH my whole life and i'd never been here before a friend bought me! The area is small but well-kept and so pleasant. The lake is beautiful, and there is a dock and other spots for fishing (with a permit, I believe). There's a (COVERED) nicely lit picnic area, and a trail around the lake with some little woodland trails for traipsing + splashing in the creek if that's your jam. Lovely. I'll be back.

Wish the playground had more playground equipment. But it is still nice for quick outdoor break
