This is Campbell County’s monument/memorial to the Confederate dead, the last one in Virginia to erect one and in turn being the only county without one, doing so in 2016. This monument was unlike any other I had seen, with the Commonwealth flag, rebel battle flag, and the Richmond Capitol or “Stainless Banner” flags flying over it. Please note, it is on private property, so be even more respectful when visiting. It should also be noted that one of the constructors and Daughters of the Confederacy sought to honour her ancestor and the other black Confederate infantrymen, many who were cooks and skilled workers (making more money than a regular soldier, interestingly). Worth a visit if in the area, strange to see one with stones so shiny, cheers.

It's a very lovely Memorial everyone should come look at it they should recognize that Confederate history and be proud of it
