Rise Up Climbing

Let me start by saying I have never been inside of this place. This is not a review of the rock wall itself.nnThe reason for the rating is the customer service. A manager and co-owner of the business, J. B. Askew, emailed me back after I inquired about possible student discounts (as a financially responsible person should do). After politely pointing out that he could have been a little nicer and more professional to boost business for him, I was met with another rude email.nnFeel free to go, but do not email them!!

Probably the best place to spend a few hours in Lynchburg. But be warned, climbing is addictively fun, and Rise Up is perfectly designed for everyone from the beginner to the super-human!nnThe owners and employees are amazing, they're always ready to help, advise, and chat.

Awesome. Had a great time. My son loved the 40 foot wall and the boulder walls. The guy who checked us in, I dont remember his name, was very helpful and even gave my son some advice on how to boulder and taking his skills to outdoor climbing. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time as a family of four on our first climbing experience at Rise Up. JB and Stephen were very welcoming and helped explain and demonstrate everything to us safely. We were pleased that even our skeptical 5 year old was able to climb safely (and that they had equipment available for her petite frame). To top it all off, because it was our oldest's birthday, the guys surprised our kids with free swag and it made the entire experience that much sweeter! This is a wonderful small business that's easy to support - family fun, movement, and impeccable customer service! Five stars!
