Suzaku Cafe

Suzaku is the best poke bowl [and some of the best sushi] in Lynchburg and I’ve looked comprehensively. They’re fantastic. Very friendly staff, stylish new shop that they upgraded to within the past couple years, and fast service. They are one of my favorites in town and a go-to spot for lunch; my coworkers and I have put together many orders with them. This is the only place in town you should go to for poke.

Their food is amazing, their sushi is top notch. I got back super late from a run (I drive a delivery truck) and promised my wife their food. I swung by not knowing how late is was, nor that they were legitimately about to close. They served me with a smile and never complained one time. Seriously go check out their food, it’s also an awesome atmosphere.

Suzaku has always been our favorite and we’ve been huge fans of them since they had the location on Old Forest Rd. Unfortunately they really dropped the ball yesterday. We placed two orders both under the same last name for pickup. We live in concord so it was a bit of a drive but usually worth it. My husband said he was picking up TWO orders & they said this is both orders. He came all the way back home, only to find out the second order wasn’t included. I specifically requested my poke bowl sauce to be on the side b/c I wanted two different sauces & I didn’t want it heavily sauced. (Both sauces were mixed together in the bowl) I called them back & expressed accidents happen & they can’t be perfect all the time. I told them about the missing order & my poke bowl, they said to send the poke bowl back w/my husband. My husband gets there & calls me to tell me they ONLY make them w/the sauces in them. ??? I originally placed my order w/that request & it wasn’t a problem. They asked me to send it back so I did. We ordered a hibachi meal w/EXTRA yum yum & the meal came w/out ANY! Again I call my husband ask him to make sure he gets the yum yum that we payed extra for. My husband brings the second order home that included a hibachi meal w/a FILET & chicken that was cold & clearly the same meal THEY didn’t include when we picked the order up the first go round. The second order included yum yum & extra as well but we never got the yum yum that was in the first order. By the time my husband got back to eat his food it was cold & terrible the kids hibachi meal had to be microwaved & luckily we shared the yum yum. We’ve always been a fan of this place & brag about them often but we were really disappointed this time.

Excellent food, bubble tea. The workers are all friendly and helpful, which is nice. It never seems completely full, and I've always been able to find a seat.

This place is AMAZING! This was my first time here and this place really impressed me. The food was hot and fresh and the portions were HUGE! Definitely recommend to anyone living or passing through the Lynchburg area. Great job guys!
