Such a great place! Both kids have been attending for 2 months and they love it here. All the instructors are awesome ,kid friendly and hilarious

We started with Frank and Michelle in 2005, right after we moved to Virginia. Our son had been taking classes in NY and we wanted for him to have the consistency. Little did we know that he would be diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum, having adhd, and anxiety. Frank has taken the time to encourage my son and help him improve his focus so that he has completed the children's classes and is now a purple belt in the adult class. Not only that, but he has also been teaching my daughter for several years as well, and she has progressed through the children's classes and is currently a green belt in the adult class. Both children were blessed (cursed) with my temper, and Frank has worked diligently with them to get it under control so that they no longer argue over the littlest thing and are able to calm themselves down with little effort. Both are growing stronger, more disciplined, and more focused - something that is paying off in school since both are maintaining a 3.8 GPA or better.

When I found Annese Martial Arts ten years ago, my original intention was to simply obtain some class information for my nine year old son. At the time, I had anger issues and felt lost motivationally. I was making my wife and family miserable. Having attended other schools in the area myself, I found that none of them were a good fit for me. Under the Annese's superb instruction, Imagine my delight to find myself a decade later having earned my black belt in my mid forties while two of my sons attend the school with me. The anger issues are long gone and my Kata's are an excellent form of physical meditation. My patience and ability to handle stress skyrocketed. My home life became pleasantly calm and most importantly, my wife was happy. I still attend weekly and have no intention to quit. For me, this is a life long pursuit of knowledge. I truly feel like the school is a second home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. My children's focus and manners have improved greatly. Words cannot adequately express how much the Annese's have added to my life and family. Feel free to stop by and visit. I think you'll like what you find.
